Here in the Americas we have definitely been experiencing quite the heat and the bills for the electric have been growing more and more because of the air conditioning. Try to keep cool!
World of AnimalsWorld of Animals, Inchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09546739618854168046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27068668.post-80670942953570236142018-06-18T17:07:20.845+10:002018-06-18T17:07:20.845+10:00Hi Mrs Gums, I have heard that Canberra is colder ...Hi Mrs Gums, I have heard that Canberra is colder than Melbourne.

Here we are quite inured to the chill. In fact I was quite surprised that last weekend's very cold snap in Melbourne did not affect me all that much, though I admit I couldn't wait to turn on the heater as the afternoon advanced.

Anyway, hopefully your ducted heating won't send your power bills through the roof. Our ducted heating system is electric I think, so would be very expensive to run.

Our next door neighbours on both sides seem to have their heating and cooling systems operating all the time, even when it is not all that hot or cold.

I'd hate to think what their power bills are like.Anne Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258633760886787723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27068668.post-33116888189590461382018-06-17T21:29:27.779+10:002018-06-17T21:29:27.779+10:00Oh, you HAVE to be warm Anne, otherwise life is mi...Oh, you HAVE to be warm Anne, otherwise life is miserable. We have just rezoned our ducted gas system, so that we don't heat areas we are not using. It was zoned before, but not as effectively as it could have been. It will be interesting to see how our power bills go. We do heat the bedroom at night but to a low temperature. This is frosty Canberra I suppose.

Sounds like you have been filling in your time nicely. I wish I could find more time to read.

Anyhow, glad that the Spring racing season isn't too long to wait for you. I wish real Spring was only a month or so ago!Whispering Gumshttp://whisperinggums.comnoreply@blogger.com
